Testimonials:

"Laure is an experienced and successful author who has a great eye for all aspects of writing, from prose style to plot points. Her editorial approach is collaborative, encouraging and thoughtful, and she is always keen to generate potential solutions to help you fix the problems raised. Laure has helped me a great deal with my novels (published by HarperCollins) as well as many of my short stories; she is also very knowledgeable about the process of submitting to agents and compiling a professional submission package. I would highly recommend Laure's service if you are looking for in-depth, insightful and rigorous feedback on your work."

Philippa East, author of Little White Lies and Safe and Sound

“Laure provided really insightful feedback and clearly identified the elements of my plot and prose that required work. This was done in a collaborative way, that encouraged me to really interrogate the characters and their motivations. Laure is particularly adept at story structure and gave advice on how to maintain momentum throughout my novel. I would not hesitate to recommend Laure to anyone looking to strengthen their opening chapters or to build an eye catching submission package.”

Kathryn Whitfield

“Laure was everything I didn’t know I needed. Professional, encouraging, and astute. I wanted to know if I was on track with my novel before I committed to it, so I sent her my submission package for a critique. I received back a detailed report and annotations on my query letter, synopsis, and opening pages that were forensic in their depth. She not only highlighted amongst other things, filtering and passive sentences but showed me how to get deeper into a character’s head, what worked in the plot and what didn’t and recommended books to help me understand. In all honesty it was a masterclass in writing technique, and I would recommend her service without hesitation.”

Laure’s critique was very insightful. This was my first draft, and I was a complete novice. Laure made me aware of info dumping, backstory, filter words and general stuff I did not know about. This has helped me immensely. I now feel I have the tools to move forward with a more detailed and professional second draft. I would not hesitate to go back to Laure with my revised work, and I would highly recommend her critique service.
